Tour Description: 

This tour is ideal for those who want to discover Rome’s historical monuments; the tour will take you to the Colosseum and Roman Forum. You will enjoy a complimentary pick-up from Civitavecchia by one of our professional drivers, who will drive you to the meeting point with the guide and the other tour participants. After a brief explanation of the itinerary, you’ll visit the world’s largest amphitheatre with your “skip the line” ticket which allows you direc access to the metal detector control. All of this in a small and intimate group of maximum 10 people since we don’t want to make our clients feel uncomfortable in big groups. Once inside, the tour guide will bring the Colosseum back to life by explaining how the gladiators entertained the crowds with spectacular fights and show you the engineering applied by the Romans to build such an imposing structure ahead of its time. After the Colosseum, you will proceed into the archaeological site of the Roman Forum which represented the commercial, legal and administrative center of ancient Rome. You will literally feel as if you were brought back in time during the Imperial age of Rome. All of this, while walking by ancient ruins such as Julius Caesar’s original mausoleum where his body was cremated, the imposing temple of Antonino and Faustina and the fascinating structure of the ancient Roman senate.  

Meeting point:  Largo della Pace. TERMINAL CRUISE SHUTTLE BUS. It is the meeting point and last stop of the port free shuttle bus (that picks up you from the boat). From the shuttle-bus drop off area you have to exit from the port and we wait for you just outside of the exit holding a sign with your name on it” 

Pick-up and drop off: Terminal Cruise Shuttle bus – Largo della Pace, Civitavecchia. We offer pickup service from all accommodation facilities located in the city center. Hotels, B&B’s and apartments. Please include, in your reservation, the accommodation name and its address. The time will be at 07.30 AM approxmatively, due to the traffic conditions you could wait 5 – 10 minutes more

Useful information:

We suggest to wear comfortable shoes, bring a hat to protect yourself from the sun and an umbrella to procet you from the rain.The tour can be changed  without notice due to weather and traffic. Visitors could be asked an ID/Passport for security reasons, please make sure you have a valid one with you. due to recent terrorist threats, Rome has increased Colosseum security which may result in long, unavoidable security check lines. In the case of very long security lines, the guide will explain the Colosseum from the outside, allowing clients to enter at their leisure. NO LIQUIDS, GELS, SPRAYS allowed inside the Colosseum. Clients with physical limitations i.e….walking on uneven ground or climbing steep steps are NOT recommended to take this tour. No Wheelchairs in the Forum. Large bags and suitcases are not permitted inside the Colosseum and there is no deposit room to store them.

For safety reasons, all visitors must pass through metal detectors and there is sometimes a line for this.

Mandatory Covid-19 Rules – Traveler Requirements starting from August 6, 2021 until further notice:

All participants who are over 6 years old are required to bring and wear a facemask.
In accordance with government guidelines, during the service all participants must maintain a safety distance of 1 meter from other people.

All participants who are over 12 years old must present one of the following: proof of full vaccination, proof of first vaccination administered at least 15 days before the activity starts, proof of a Covid-19 infection in the past 6 months, or a negative Covid-19 PCR test taken no more than 48 hours before the activity starts.
All participants who are over 12 years old must bring and present a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g. passport, driver’s license, etc.) matching the vaccination or test results.

Cancellation Policy: 

For cancellations before 48 h in advance of scheduled departure: No cancellation fee, charging only the costs incurred for booking tickets;

For cancellations before 24 hours (1 day) in advance of scheduled departure: 50% of tour price per person

For cancellations less than 24 hours (1 day) in advance of scheduled departure: 100% of tour price per person

No-show: 100% charge
